Europe gives up on daylight saving time .. Does Morocco follow it?
After the European Union voted against it, the European Union Commission decided to cancel the summer holidays in the EU, decades after the decision to add 60 minutes to the legal time, with the aim of energy economy through early working hours to take advantage of more daylight hours, which is gradually increasing With the beginning of the spring until the summer, the procedure followed by Morocco, for its association with Europe.
The European Union’s decision to cancel the summer time was taken this week to move the decision to the European Parliament for the final vote. Europe has decided to cancel the measure based on the evaluation and study of the DST, which is adopted from March each year. The possibility of canceling daylight saving time and winter time and returning to normal time throughout the year in the European Union countries, after the majority of its population voted in an official electronic referendum to refuse to modify the timing.
According to the poll, which was adopted by the decision-making process, in which about 4.6 million Europeans participated, 80 percent of respondents expressed support for the abolition of “daylight saving time”.
It is noteworthy that Morocco is one of the countries that adopt this system from outside the European Union, where the Kingdom Announces the beginning of March every year to increase the sixty minutes to the legal time through a decree issued by the Ministry in charge of public office, and temporarily stop during the month of Ramadan, This measure of energy economy, as well as facilitating trade with international economic partners, especially EU countries, by maintaining the same time difference between them and Morocco.
But the EU’s decision to stop summer time, in response to opposition parliamentary voices, says that a 60-minute delay and delay has negative effects on human health, which may affect Morocco’s decision to adopt the extra hour in recent years and push it further.
EU plans to abolish daylight saving time and make summer last forever
According to Juncker, more than 80% of EU citizens want to abolish daylight saving time and instead remain on the time used during summer instead.
At the moment, each EU member state puts clocks forward one hour on the last Sunday of March and back again on the last Sunday in October.
“This debate about summertime, wintertime has been around for many years here,” Juncker told German broadcaster ZDF.
“Many people are contributing to this debate. We did a survey, a public survey. Millions responded and think that in the future we should have summertime all year round. So that’s what will happen.”
At a press briefing in Brussels, European Commission spokesman Alexander Winterstein gave additional information.
ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS! Only 4.6 millions responded to the consultation, meaning 0.9% of total EU population. Of these 4.6 millions 3 millions (65%) were from Germany (while German population is only 16% of the total EU population). Besides, the poll responders identity was not checked. Anyone could create a false name and email and vote several times according to one’s wishes. EC and EPP are into forcing permanent summertime down people’s throats because they think it’s good for business (tourism, golf, oil, shopping, etc.). Summertime is precisely the artificial legal time that harms public health, according to chronobiologist Dr. Till Roenneberg, creating permanent social jet-lag and disrupting the circadian rhythm of people. In countries like UK, Germany or Italy summertime has a +1h00 offset towards solar time, but in countries like Portugal and Ireland the offset is +1h30, in Spain is between +2h30 and +2h00, and +2h00 in France. Permanent summertime means that in the winter the sun will rise at 9h00 instead of 8h00 in Lisbon, London or Prague; at 9h17 instead of 8h17 in Berlin; at 9h45 instead of 8h45 in Paris or Brussels; at 9h38 instead of 8h38 in Madrid. As usual in the EU, decisions taken by a only few.
