Google Search Console is the primary tool for tracking the performance of your site in the Google search engine, and it tells you all the details about the tags on your site and their ranking in the search engine, as well as shows you all the errors resulting from archiving and is shortened to GSC.

How to deal with Google webmaster Tools:

   In this part, I will explain to you how to add your site to Google Search Console and how to make sure that all settings are completely correct. First, you must log in to the tool via Gmail from this link, and then you will click on ADD A PROPERTY as in the following image:  

  After that, you will write the link to your site, but you must take into account that you write it in HTTPS format and not in HTTP format, as in the following picture:  

  Now you must confirm your ownership of the site, and there are 3 ways, and they are:

  1. You put HTML code in your site.
  2. Or you put a CNAME or TXT record in your domain settings.
  3. Or by adding a simple HTML code that you put in the Header part of your site “This is the best way for me personally)

  The second step is to choose how to display your site’s domain in Google, for example without www or with www, so choose the appropriate format for you and this will not completely differentiate SEO.  

  But do not choose Don’t set a preferred domain, because Google stated that if you choose this option, the search engine can deal with your site in a double manner, so that your site reads two sites, one without www and the other with www, and this will affect your site negatively, especially in backlink . Third, you choose the country you are targeting, and that is by selecting International Targeting from the Search Traffic menu, and then choosing Country… Connect Google Analytics to the search unit in the Google Search Console: You must link Google Analytics to the search unit in the Google Search Console so that you can see All the keywords on your site and the search rate on them. You can do that by opening Google Analytics , then clicking on Admin, then clicking on Property Settings, then clicking on Adjust Search Console, and you will find them at the bottom of the page.    

  After clicking on Adjust Search Console, a menu will appear for you, from which you will click on Add, then you will search on your site and put the activation mark next to it, and in this way, the link between Google Analytics and GSC will be made. After that, you should check for any security problems that affect the SEO on your site and that is by clicking on Security Issues and you will see the results of the scan from Google, and it will most likely be good as in the following picture, but this is to confirm security.  

Add Sitemap to Webmaster Tools:

  You probably don’t need to add Sitemap to GSM if your site is small, but if your site is large you should add a Sitemap, and if you add it and your site is small it shouldn’t hurt you. The easiest way to add Sitemap to GSM is to use the Yoast tool, by clicking on the Yoast tool in WordPress and then clicking on See the XML Sitemap as in the following image:  

  But if you don’t use the Yoast plugin, you can get it directly by typing your site’s domain and after typing /sitemap.xml so it will look like yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. And after you got it, you will add it to the webmaster tools, and the method of adding it previously took several steps, but in its last update it became very simple, but you have to convert the old version to the new version of Google Search Console by pressing Try the new Search Console Which are in the left menu.  

And after moving to the new look from the Google Search Console, you click on Sitemaps as in the following image:

                                                          Then you put your site url followed by sitemap_index.xml as in the following image.  

And then you will see a message confirming the successful addition of sitemap, as in the following image:

How to improve SEO on your site using Google Search Console:

In this part, we will fix some technical SEO problems, and when you do that, you will find that your site’s results have risen in the search engine, thus increasing the number of visits to your site as well. In most cases, when the pages of your site are healthy and there are no problems, Google will archive them very quickly, but if it does not archive it, this means there is a problem with the page. You can find out which pages have errors and what are the errors through Coverage Report, as this report shows you all the pages of your site that have been archived and the pages that have not been archived and the reason for that as well.

Coverage Report is a new part of GSM and did not exist in the previous version, but there was a locality Index Status. At the top of the page you will find Errors, which are errors on the site, and when you click on it, the causes of these errors will appear to you, such as the following picture:

And when you click on errors, it will open for you all the pages that have the same error, such as the following image:

Then you solve all these errors, and you should be aware that these errors differ from one site to another, and their number also varies from one site to another. The same method is followed for Valid with warring’s field. But if you can not solve any of the errors, do not leave it, it will definitely affect your site negatively, so go to Google Index and you will find it in the old version of the webmaster tools and you will click on Remove URLs as in the following picture:

Review archived pages without errors:

Now we will go to the other field, which is Valid, and we will review two parts: – A sudden drop in the number of pages that have been archived. The quality of the number of pages that have been archived is greater than expected.   For the first part, this sudden drop may be because there is an entire section of your site that has encountered problems, or that you installed a new add-on that caused you these problems, or that you changed something on the site and he made these errors.

And you do not need to be an expert in HTML programming language to be able to solve the errors of these pages, because it is very simple and clear. HTML Improvements show you some errors in your site pages, for example: – Title of pages that are larger than the maximum of 70 characters or that it is copied. – The article description in the meta description is greater than the maximum 300 characters or is copied. To do this, you will go to Google Search Console and then to HTML Improvements, as shown in the following image:

You will see all the errors on the HTML site, and when you click on any section you will see all the articles with errors.

 Increase the number of visitors from performance reports:

This is the best and most important part of today’s article, and that is why we will show you in it how to rely on your site’s performance reports to increase the number of visitors.
What is a performance report?
Performance report is a Google Search Console tool that comprehensively searches your site’s performance on Google. This report shows you the number of clicks you’re getting, but also lets you see your click-through rate (CTR) and your average ranking for all of the keywords that you rely on.

And performance reports were not present in the previous version of GSC, but instead of it there was Search Analytics, and most likely it provides you with the same previous information in full, but there were some new additions such as your ability to filter the results accurately as you wish, and the analysis period did not exceed 90 A day in the previous version, but currently it could be up to 16 months and it could increase as well.

This will save you from subscribing to tools that pull Google SearchConsole reports and save them for you, so you can return to them when you want to review the site’s performance. This will also help you if you use local SEO !

How can you increase your CTR with this webmaster tool?

As we mentioned in the introduction that CTR is a very important factor in order to be able to rank in the first search results, and the Google Search Console tool will help you with that by means of performance reports. We will rely on this strategy on two factors:

The first factor is page ranking in the search engine Average position. The second factor is the CTR factor. Now, in the first factor, we will depend on the pages whose order is in the fifth position or less, and you can do that by clicking on the filter and choosing the Average position as in the following picture:

And you choose the filter value where it is greater than 4.9, as in the following picture:

Then we will go to the second factor, which is the CTR factor, where we will enter the Advanced Web Ranking study and see the corresponding value for CTR in the fifth result, as in the following picture:

You will find that the CTR value is in the range of 4.35, so you will filter the results of the performance reports so that the results shown are less than 4.35. You can do this by using the filter also and choosing CTR as in the following picture:

Then we make the apparent results less than 4.35.

Thus, all results shown will be less than 4.35 in CTR and in fifth place and less.

And now you will amend the title and description of the page that has a low CTR ratio by excluding the keywords with low CTR and putting the tags with high CTR, and there are some words that cause a significant increase according to Google reports, such as: – Today. – right Now. – Quickly. – Step by Step. – Easy. – Best. – Final. – simple. Therefore some of these words are also used in the page title as well as the page description.

Track results to see the result:

After you finish all the amendments to the pages that have problems, you wait for more than 10 days, because most likely Google will not update your site data before this period, and then use the filter also to compare the previous results with the current results, and you can do that by clicking on the date filter, including Compare then choose Custom, and it specifies the first time period and the second time period, as in the following picture:

Then search for the keywords that you have implemented the strategy on, and you will find that the CTR percentage has increased by at least 50%, God willing.

You can search for powerful keywords yourself and use them to increase your CTR using the performance report as well. Where you will enter the performance report and request to display the results of the last 28 days, and after that you will use the filter to show results with a CTR greater than 7.9, and finally, you will press Impressions to arrange the results shown for you from the highest seen to least seen.

Find pages that need internal links:

Internal links are definitely one of the most important factors in the Google search engine. There is a tool in Google Webmaster Tools that helps you search for topics that need to increase internal links. You can do this by entering your account in the webmaster tools and then choosing Search Traffic, from which you choose Internal Links, and a report will appear for you with all the pages on your site and the number of internal links that you refer to as in the following picture:

It searches for pages that need fewer internal links and increases the number of links on them.

This is the last part of today’s article and I will explain to you how Google Search Console is used to improve Crawl Stats, fix some site usability issues for mobile devices, and improve mobile clickthrough rate.

What are the Crawl Stats?

It is considered about the crawl rate and in other words the errors that your site experiences during archiving, and the archiving comes from the crawling of Google spiders to your site, so it was called the crawl rate, and you can find out the crawl rate by clicking on Crawl Stats from GSM as in the following picture:

Some say that the crawl rate is not important in the recent period, but this is not correct, suppose that there are 10 pages you publish daily and Google archives one page per day, meaning that the entire articles of the day will be archived after 10 days, and what if you make an amendment in a specific article ?? It will definitely take another long time for Google to feel up to date, so crawl rate is important.

How to increase your crawl rate:

You can increase the crawl rate by 3 steps, and they are: The first step: Searching for pages that do not interest you and do not target them, but Google crawls them continuously, for example the login page on the site, the rankings page, or if you have an online store and add products in more than one color Therefore, it is not important to archive all colors, but it is sufficient to archive only one color to archive the product itself. You can do this by entering your Google Search Console account, then on URL Parameters, then clicking on Add Parameter, and it specifies the criteria that Google does not want to crawl, for example taking a specific word that you put in all addresses that you do not want to archive, such as COLOR, SIZE and so on. .

The second step : is to make your site as fast as possible, as you can view the page loading speed of Crawl Stats also like the following image:

And it searches for places where a large fluctuation occurred and searches for the reason for this fluctuation and this problem, in other words, the page loading speed should be as fast as possible, in order to increase the rate of pages that will be archived per day and thus increase the crawl rate. The third step:Getting the largest number of text links for your site, and this was a statement from Google itself, meaning if you increase the number of text links, the crawl rate on your site will automatically increase. Relying on manual archiving: You can also rely on Fetch As Google to manually archive all your pages, and if the number of your pages is many, this will take a long time for you, but it is definitely better than leaving them for several days to be archived automatically. How to use the Fetch As Google tool: You will enter your Google Search Console account, then crawl, then Fetch As Google, and you will put the link for the page that you want to archive, and then press Fetch as in the following picture:

And you will find that Google has archived the page within minutes and very quickly. You can use Fetch As Google to update the content of old pages as well, as updating the content of old pages is one of the main points to increase the number of visits on your site. And the last use of Fetch As Google is to explain to you the problems that the archiving spiders faced in archiving your pages, and you can do this by pressing Fetch And Render instead of Fetch in the previous step, and it will show you the page as it exists, as well as the page as read by the Google search engine. For example the following picture:
